Aizawl Art Gallery was established on 13th April, 2005 and it is sincerely designed to be beneficial to all types of artists. From the year of its establishment, numerous locals as well as foreigners from outside the state visits Aizawl Art Gallery and our local artists are gaining projects from selling their paintings to these visitors. And for those whose interest lies in painting, many kinds of programme like the ones described below are organised annually.

ANNUAL PAINTING EXHIBITION
Every year during the month of October-December, Aizawl Art Gallery organises annual painting exhibition in which many talented artists publicly display and exhibit their works and a good number of people interested in paintings visits these exhibition. Numerous paintings are sold during these times and these programmes are wholly covered by Local Cable TV and Newspapers.

ART FEST, SEMINAR, WORKSHOP, COMPETITION
Aizawl Art Gallery also makes programmes like Art-Fest, Art Workshop, Painting Competition, Seminar etc to enhance improvements and these programmes are highly valued by the artists. Particular dates are also fixed for visiting these paintings by general public and countless people have come to the gallery on these days to gaze at the works of our talented artists.

INSTITUTION
Regular classes for learning paintings and drawing are being offered and there are always many students learning the different courses that are being offered. Vocational Art School are also organised for the benefit of school going students and considerable number of students are being admitted every year in this vocational Art School. Together with Bal Bhavan Society of Mizoram, Aizawl Art Gallery organise free classes of learning on every Saturday and in these classes the children are provided with all the necessary equipments and these classes are enthusiastically attended by many children.
